Packaging Materials and Recycling
We choose the packaging materials carefully to be as nature friendly and recyclable as possible. We use a lot of cardboard and glass, which are easily recyclable materials. For some products, we have chosen plastic as the packaging material, if best suited to the product, taking into account the transportation and use of the product.
On the product-specific pages, you will find the product recycling instructions on the 'Packaging and its Recycling' tab. However, here are the most common recyclable materials:
Cardboard packaging
Our cardboard packaging is completely plastic and most of them are FSC certified cardboard (does not apply to conditioner or ointment pieces).
The enclosures that come with the packaging are recycled to a cardboard collection.
Metal packs
Aluminum, or metal packaging, is recycled to metal waste.
Metal waste is not garbage, but it is a valuable resource! Recycled metal packaging is made new packaging, which significantly reduces energy consumption. Metal is the most effective recycled material in Europe.
Metal as packaging material:
- Permanently available resource
- Will not break up over time
- Does not lose their chemical properties
- Can be recycled endlessly
Glass packaging
Flow Cosmetics use only 100% recyclable glass! All of our glass packaging is fully recyclable. The glass is recycled for glass waste.
Note! Glass jars with metal covers: The lids are aluminum and are sorted into metal waste.
Tip! You can also reuse colored and high quality glass jars, eg as storage jars for small objects, use a candle to casting or even a candlestick.
Pumps and pipettes
Pump: The pump is fully recycled for plastic waste.
Pipettor/Dispenser: The pipette can be fully recycled into mixed waste or in parts (a glass part of the pipette for glass waste, a plastic pipette for plastic waste).
